The Delta Chi Fraternity and RISE partner to develop the Delta Chi Leadership College
- 7-23-2011
The Delta Chi Fraternity and RISE Partnerships (RISE) announce their collaboration to develop the Delta Chi Leadership College (DCLC) into a premier skills-development experience. The four-day program, held biennially in Iowa City, Iowa, challenges members to bring the principles of Delta Chi to life in their collegiate chapter and in the world around them.
The DCLC will involve a variety of educational experiences including personal leadership development, brotherhood activities and a tour of International Headquarters featuring letters from Founding Fathers, handwritten transcriptions of the Ritual, hundreds of original charter petitions, and much more.
The DCLC provides an opportunity for personal development for student leaders and alumni members through the values of Delta Chi: friendship, character, justice and education, not to mention the opportunity to share experiences with brothers from across North America.
Zac Cole, Director of Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for the Delta Chi Fraternity remarked by saying, “Gathering students in Iowa City to discuss the values and Ritual of the Fraternity in the presence of original, handwritten documents is something that I am very excited about. Integrating that experience with a tour of the Headquarters as part of the curriculum will be a tremendous reinforcement to the variety of values-driven discussions that will take place during the DCLC.”
Dan Wrona, CEO and project leader of RISE said, “We are excited to spend the next 5 years sharing the expertise of our team to help Delta Chi create a transformational experience that shows a lasting, measurable impact on members’ lives as fraternity men, campus leaders and citizens.”
The mission of RISE Partnerships is to challenge fraternity/sorority leaders to step up, take action, and use their values to change the world. The organization has been providing training and development experiences to fraternity and sorority members for the past 11 years.
